About LongTailLab
Why we built this
Every free keyword tool on the market seems designed to annoy you: three searches a day, forced sign-ups, locked exports, upsell popups. LongTailLab started as the opposite idea — the keyword tool we always wanted for our own SEO work: open the page, type a seed, harvest hundreds of real long-tail phrases from six engines at once, export everything to CSV, and get on with the actual work. No dark patterns, no artificial limits, no time wasted.
How it works
The tool queries the public autocomplete services of Google, YouTube, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia and Amazon — the same suggestion dropdowns you see when you type in those sites. Because these are phrases real people actually type, they are honest long-tail material for SEO articles, YouTube titles, product listings and PPC ad groups. Question mode, prepositions mode and the classic alphabet-soup technique multiply the combinations, and results found by several engines at once surface at the top of the list. For volumes and difficulty scores, we recommend validating your shortlist in Google Keyword Planner — we refuse to display made-up numbers.
Why is it free?
The tool is light and cheap to run, and it is funded by advertising from third-party ad networks (banners, video and sponsored links). That lets us keep every feature — unlimited searches, all engines, all modes, CSV export — free for everyone, forever, with no account required. We deliberately keep the page fast and uncluttered; see the Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and your choices.
